(Becoming to Being) A workshop on mid-career introspection Why this workshop: It has been close to a decade of professional journey. With all the ups and downs in your career, you have carved a niche for yourself. However, of late, you might be thinking “What next?” Perhaps you are trying to visualize the next 10 or 15 years of your professional life. Perhaps you are trying to imagine “What do I want to retire as?” This workshop is intended to provide you with a platform to explore, reflect and find answers to such mid-career questions. Objectives: • Create and visualize the desired future • Find out what your talents and strengths are • Find out what is blocking you to leverage your strengths • To create an action plan for creating a desired future by playing to your strengths Participant profile: Participant in this workshop will have 7+ years of professional experience. Pre-requisite for this workshop is openness for reflection. Venue: Pipal Tree, Fireflies, Dinnepalya Village, Kanakapura Road, Bangalore 560082. Phone : 28432130 / 28432725 When: 2 - 4 May 2008 (workshop starts on Friday 2nd May at 9am and ends on Sunday 4th May at 2pm) Fee: Rs. 5000/- + 12.36% service tax per participant. Total of Rs. 5,618/-. Fee includes single occupancy accommodation on 2nd and 3rd May, breakfast, lunch and dinner (vegetarian food). The fee does not include travel to the venue. Registration: The process: Registration involves following 3 steps: (1) Delegate fills the registration form (attached) and send it to vinay@catalign.com. This step is expressing intent from delegate side and also provides some information to facilitators as to why one is interested (2) One of the facilitators will call and discuss with the delegate and ensure there is synergy between what the delegate wants and what the workshop can provide (3) Delegate pays the registration fee and completes the registration. He has done M.Phil. in organizational sociology. He has 30 years of experience primarily in manufacturing industry. He has worked as the Head of HR at a Tata company. He has been a consultant last 8 years. He has done courses in NLP under Richard Bandler, TA, Human process lab, Travisto conference etc. Hala is passionate about Indian psychology and working with self. ii. Raja Chidambaram Raja is an independent consultant based in Bangalore. Currently he offers unique high impact consulting solutions in the areas of ‘Leadership Development’ and Change facilitation, most of them medium term to long term (3 months to 3 years). He has facilitated a variety of capacity building interventions and Change interventions with more than 100 organizations from various sectors (Business, Social Development & Educational institutions) in the last 14 years. Raja is a post graduate in psychology, started his career as an entrepreneur. iii. Vinay Dabholkar Vinay is President of Catalign Innovation Consulting, an independent consulting business focused in technical leadership development and innovation. In the last 1.5 years as an entrepreneur, Vinay has worked with 20 organizations in the area of talent management and technical leadership development. Before starting his independent consulting career, he was with Sasken Communications Technologies Limited for 8 years where he performed various roles in both technology/strategy consulting as well as in program management. Before Sasken, he was with CAD Tools division of Motorola SPS (now Freescale) in Texas, Austin. Vinay did his Ph.D. in Computer Science from SUNY Buffalo and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay.
